Carey Taylor has a wide range of business experience. He has been a founder and investor in businesses including production studios, toy design and licensing, computer games retailing, software development and property development.

Carey works in partnership with brothers Chris and Neil Taylor. Chris Taylor is the founder of Origin Products, which developed the Polly Pocket girl’s toy brand, which it licenses to Mattel Inc. The brand now achieves worldwide sales in excess of $200 million a year. Neil Taylor was the founder of Game Group, which he built to a chain of 98 computer games software stores in the UK, before floating at a market capitalization of $250 million in 1998, and selling in 1999.

After studying politics and philosophy at Oxford University, Carey began his career as a record producer and engineer working with the Stray Cats, the Everly Brothers, KD Lang, George Harrison, the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Dave Edmunds. This led him into the studio facility business where he went on to finance, design and build studio complexes in London and New York. Carey has also developed and financed commercial property projects including luxury apartments, a theatre and restaurants.

He currently lives in London and France.
